| Sydney Morning Herald 2005 Young Novelist Award |
Leigh joined Nicholas Angel, Craig Silvey, Andrew Humphreys and Corrie Hoskings during Writers Week to accept her award.
This award recognises novels published by Australians aged up to 35 in the past calendar year. The 2005 judges were Delia Falconer and Mardi McConnochie, both novelists and previous winners.
